What's on the workbench?

Are there low profile switches that would fit like that on a ppcb board if I milled the slots?

The only thing that comes to mind is sub-mini switches, but those wouldn't fit the standard sized footprint. (And might not be short enough)

These aren't special switches, the PCB is in the enclosure "upside down" so only the ends of the bats protrude through the enclosure.

Looks like if I used those goofy Long leg pots and regular switches that might work no? Oh, but I guess I might need a deeper box to clear the component side…

Just replaced the OP07 in my Rat with a metal can LM308 that @Barry generously sent to me.

I happened upon a handful of LM308 recently too. Not metal can but late production DIP-package by STMicroelectronics. Recorded some DIs and used a reamp box for a proper comparison between the LM308N and the OP07 in the exact same pedal. I'm usually not one for mojo parts but these really do sound different. Not that the OP07 sounds bad or doesn't do the rat thing, the LM308 just has a different tone and I do prefer it.
