What's on the workbench?

Thanks for letting me know where I can post about my build. And I am building a Facemelter aka Pu55y melter. My daughter is a huge Steel Dragon fan.
P.S this pedal is for my daughter.
LOL.. Steel Dragon. I'm guessing you are not a fan? I am getting ready to build this pedal so let us know what your daughter thinks of it and welcome to the forum!

Funny story, I like the music of Steel Panther but the lyrics are so raunchy and cheesy that I just can't listen to them. I told a fellow 80s rocker about them and he pulled them up on his phone to listen. He works at an elementary school and when he went to his truck after work to put his stuff in the back seat, his phone synced up with his truck's radio (which was cranked) and started playing a song about Asian hookers really loud at the worst part with both doors open. :ROFLMAO: He was so embarrassed.

I didn’t even notice that I wrote Steel dragon instead of Steel Panther. I corrected it. I am a fan of some of their songs but not all. They are a good comedic metal band. But I’m old school and I prefer 80’s Thrasher metal!! I will definitely keep everyone in the loop as soon as I get off my a55 and order components for the build. Been way to busy lately.

A little project I started working on a couple weeks ago. Sort of a Bad Monkey meets Son of Screamer. I'll get off my ass and box it up tonight finally. I was too lazy to drill the enclosure.

Update: finished the board and boxed it up. Didn't work. Did some troubleshooting. Looked at the schematic and realized that I ran power to pin 11 and ground to pin 4. Whoops. I'm so used to running ground to pin 4 with dual op amps that I just went through the motions there. I updated the schematic in Eagle. Thankfully I socketed the TL074 so I can bend the legs out and run jumper wires to them.

How does it sound?

Now that I'm thinking about it, I guess I could have fried the op amp with the switched power and ground? I have one more tl074 sitting aside I could try now that I realize what I did.

I should have also say that luckily my daughter who is 16 informed me that their music is kinda raunchy and cheesy. Which I am happy about because I wouldn’t want what happened to your friend happen to me. 🤣🤣

Just getting started in this hobby as I'd only built a couple of Aion FX kits to date and wanted to really dive in this winter. So I ordered a range of components from Mouser, Tayda, and Lovemyswitches, and a Red Herring PCB from Pedalpcb. Best of all, I decided to get the Pedalpcb protoyping board so I can breadboard pedals without all the hassle associated with loose offboard connections. I've watched more than a few Wampler vids and I like the way he does it.

I'm glad I got the prototyping board; after a few hours of soldering the many parts onto the master pcb, its now working (!) with a Clark Gainster / Hoochie Mama circuit on the breadboard. I'll be playing around with this for a while to understand the subtle differences between those pedals and the Menatone Red Snapper (which the Red Herring pcb is based on). Whatever I like best I will build using the the Red Herring pcb as a base.
