@fig what's the ratings/cost on the 2 transformers on the beasty?

Whatcha building? [says the breadboard junkie to the dude with the shiny new breadboard]
I’ll be honest I have no idea yet I think a simple fuzz circuit for now I haven’t really given much thought to says the guy who spent a bunch of money on new equipment πŸ€”
 
Thank you so much That’s actually where I read about the breadboard I’ve been reading the forum catching up I think the mini muff circuit for now interests me 😎

That’s a good one. There’s as much to the power stage as there is with the rest of it, which is basically a just a dual op amp and a couple of Ge diodes.
 
The germanium diodes are what’s interesting to me I e never worked with germanium diodes and I’ve been reading that there’s a craze for them I read the Klon uses them that’s another I’ve been eyeing…

GE diodes have their place. They basically have a lower forward voltage that, say, the "standard" 1n4148 plus a small amount of leakage. Get them from a reputable dealer (small bear for example).

If you ever need help on the breadboard feel free to DM me. There's TONS of stuff you can do. It also helps if you've got a lot of spare parts lying around, but they will build up in time.

In your opinion what spare GE diodes should I get? Caps? Elcaps?
