EarthQuaker Devices Barrows Fuzz Attacker

I thought it sounded quite nice in the demo, but... is it substantially different from any of the other Tone Bender clones around? I'm about to build the Two Tone Fuzz, can this do anything that one can not?

On the other hand, for non-DIY people or just anyone looking for a small tone bender, it might be nice.

Is this jack arrangement typical for commercial 1590A builds? I’ve always arranged it so the input is closer to the foot switch.

I'm pretty sure it's real sand, just sped up.
Man, WAKE UP! Its AI speed TOO! Jamie Stillman is CAKE!!!...

Anywho...I like this pedal more than the EHX TB of recent. Of course, I'm probably gonna wait till its traced...

is it just me or is there less gain and more compression than a traditional tonebender mkii? like he played it all the way up and it didn't have that tone bender bite to it ... for lack of a better descriptor it sounds like all the edges were rounded

The circuit has a buffer so you can place it anywhere in the chain. I imagine that smooths the loose hairs…

I tend to agree. Sounds like the Germanium is there for decoration rather than tone and replicating the original.

all this did was force me to play my tone benders (yes, plural) for an hour so I can't be mad about that
Same for me.

Except I can't find my Truth Bender... I wonder if I sold it or if I've just somehow... lost it? How would that even happen? Just casually drop it on the floor and vacuum it up?

It’s for your own safety, so you don't accidentally cut yourself while cutting through the mix...
