Anyway, first time seeing such tape. My shipments to France do tend to get opened though.

Figured I liked my build enough to grab a real one (this one has the clean blend with adjustable bass boost)
When it's working properly, it sounds awesome, but it's got a pretty shitty bypass switch / system, and is plagued with weird switch and/ or frequency-dependent oscillations.

Having seen the Warlow Mini issues over on reddit (I think some or even most of them just... don't work? and to fix it you could try to "plug the pedal into 18v for 30 minutes to charge the pedal", what the hell) I wouldn't buy anything directly from JPTR FX tbh.

Also I am on an envelope filter kick, scored a Q-tron+ for cheap. Stoked to play around with the effects loop portion, and I’ve always wanted to try it.

Q-Tron+ is great. Sold it for the WMD Protostar with the CV stuff, but is has a way different sounding filter and doesn't take me to the 70s, at all!
Grabbed the Micro IV (with the switchable envelope boards) VAT-free via a friend instead. Yeah, pure bushy porn tones, like the Q-tron+.

Sounds like a bad layout or cabling (input cable near output circuit).
May be worth futzing with the cables or trying some 20pf in the feedback loops of the first 2 stages?
I mean, you shouldn't have to do any of that, but...

I'm thinking it has something to do with the clean blend or switching circuitry- neither of my clones (one on a Cleric board, the other on a Dream Fuzz board) have these issues.

Some mojo transistors, milspec 1n914s, vintage Sprague's, and some more corning nasa-caps!
1k pfs are going for over $100/EA on ebay. Not a bad haul for the equivalent of 4-5 gallons of gas.
Got some new boards, caps, 3993s(!) and a collection of house numbered Sylvania parts from @jessenator ! Thanks dude!
Q few different lots, a pill bottle of Philco 2N404 PNP germs, a big bag on 2N2306 (NPN Ge), some cheap MADT alloy junction PNPs, 2 dozen 2N388s, and a AMT R1
And a pair of similarly named but very different delays
The Peavey is/was used for time alignment of speaker delays.
I has one input and 3 different outputs with independent delay times adjustable in ms. No feedback, just single delay lines. I plan to mod this with 3 momentary push buttons and 3 pots to feed each output back into the input. A rackmount glitch machine, if you will.
The Image IDL1000, is a pretty rare and beat to hell digital delay that I have been looking for for so long, I forgot why. I think it was used on oGre's vocals on the early Skinny Puppy stuff? Pretty sure that was it.
I like the control set. No menu diving. Independent wet and dry output controls. LPF. A knob turners gritty delight. Hoping to plug it up tonight.
And lastly, someone's grandpa's transistor collection. This one was a bust. A few 6 volt tungsols but paid a little more than my limit of $1/transistor. Can't win them all.
And a box of 25 JAN2N2225s (PNP Ge) still in their original packaging
That's it for now. Got a big box comping tomorrow that hopefully is worth the gamble.

@jwin615 Where do you find all those transistors? Those AMT preamps RAWK. I had the Peavey 5150 at one point running into a DLS to give it a Marshall flavor and into the power amp of my Hot Rod Deluxe and could rock some Tool songs.

Mostly eBay. I have so many saved searches, eBay won't allow me to save any more. That CBS ax7 is sexyAF!
I may pickup or build the AMT 5150, depending on how I like this one. It came across reverb for like 70-80 shipped so seemed like a no brainer to try it out.

I’ve a ton of saved searches for tubes on eBay and Reverb. I’ve slowed down my buying now though thankfully. Not much left to try and it’s pretty time consuming trying to find good ones at a good price.

Yeah. No goodies from outside the Thunderdome for the time being. Stinks as I was getting some good hauls from Taiwan and the UK. I was going to get 1200 OCP71s from the UK when all this started for $150 or something stupid cheap. The seller had a few listed but a pic of a ton and I DMd them and they offered at that price. But every time they listed it, I couldn't buy it for some reason--some ebay restriction. I just started filtering for US only after that.
