I had a good laugh today

  • Patented Analog Design
A completely original circuit that cannot be replicated or reverse-engineered using conventional designs.
Haven’t seen this circuit, but if it statement is too good or bold to be true…well, you know…
  • Transformer-Based Guitar Profiling
A dedicated transformer dynamically switches between STRAT and LP modes, adapting the pedal’s internal behavior to single-coil or humbucker guitars with absolute authenticity.
Orman's PU sim ’roids with phase flip?
  • Hidden Internal Controls
Precision-tuned internal parameters, including a MID / 1.2 kHz shaping circuit, allow exact harmonic voicing consistent with vintage PAF resonance.
Metal films, modern smd yeah sure it’s precise, but it’s just a mids pot.
  • Out-of-Phase Engine (Never Done Before)
A true analog Out-of-Phase circuit inside a pedal. The input signal is split, phase-shifted, and recombined into a mono output—delivering the unmistakable “Greeny / Gary Moore” tone without modifying your guitar or wiring.
Op amp buffer to parallel processing with transformer, gain, eq and mixed before output?
  • Microphonic PAF Emulation
Faithfully recreates the airy, vocal, unwaxed PAF response—dynamic, touch-sensitive, and alive.
I’ve made microphonic circuits too with bad soldering and components. Nothing to brag about…
  • Universal Compatibility
    Designed to work with anyguitar:
    • Single-coils, P90s, dogears, Strat-style pickups
    • Humbuckers of any type, from budget pickups to genuine Burst PAFs
    • Can even be used with real PAFs to enhance harmonic highs and tonal color

Yo dawg i herd u like pafs so we built a paf emulation after your pafs.

Isn’t universumal compatibility bad thing for pedal biz, ’cos then theres no room for Yet Another *insert pedal type here*.

BUT how this works with different amp setups? Does it Paf Up different types of amps? Will it Paf Up MicroCube? Does it help putting this after microphone to sing vetter vocals like in Paffing up way? Is this one circuit to Paf ’em all?

Edit. Oh and the patent thing. A turd thrower is patentable, but does it have any other use than making a shit storm?

Jesus fucking christ the level of bullshit marketing is off the charts.

Edit: I'm curious about the "in-house" op amps, if they're going to sell 500 pedals at 400€ per pedal, that's only 200k total. I would assume custom op amps would be quite price for such low production numbers? Maybe it could be cheaper than I think, or it's just white-labeled normal parts and a bunch of lies?

This is total influencer vomit. The owners name is Aryan King?!? wtf?! And he posted the only review on the site. And its laying on a bed of vacuum tubes, but tubes are never mentioned in this pickup simulation. Oh, and "carefully licensed digital products" is my new Bullshit Bingo winner.

OK, so this Asshat wrote his own wiki page. I've never seen such poseur-ism.

"He is known for his atmospheric voice and introspective lyrical approach, which often explores his personal life on an intimate and universal level. As an artist, Aryan King's creative process is simply to look at the world around him and reward it. Aryan's music tells a story, and the lyrics are catchy and original. His music is able to inspire, and it is a light for those lost in a world drowning in mediocrity. His charismatic personality establishes a real connection with his audience, which music radiates with a rare burst of creativity. Most of his work is devoted to the basics of love, to help listeners understand what it means to receive and, more importantly, give love. He understands that there is no quick fix for all the ills of the world, but healing begins with loving yourself and others. Aryan's philosophy as a musician is to overcome difficulties, constantly improve, and bring order to chaos with his music. He aspires to devote all his time, effort, and energy to music and to become an artist who writes and collaborates with the best singers and musicians in the world. He strives to push songwriting forward, not be part of a "new trend." As a non-American, he takes great pride in reviving the American blues, nurturing his love and passion for music with outstanding determination and care. He believes that he is on the right path to fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming the best blues guitarist in the world."

"Unlimited delivery for only $175"

"Burstphonic PAF does not model a pickup—it becomes the guitar."

"Turning it off makes my guitar sound like a tiny ukulele."

"Can even be used with real PAFs to enhance harmonic highs and tonal color"

BTW I see no evidence of a patent, and found traces of a pre-existing product with the name "OctaKing" ....

Also, in the short video, "greeny" is spelled "greany", but if you click on one of the pics further down, it's spelled "greeny." And the controls are labelled differently.

Seems like the whole thing is fake

The social links lead to wordpress accounts.

It looks like an elaborate scam, but since it seems to be churned out via generative means, it is actually a lazy scam.

Would Joe use them if they were fake??

Are you interested in becoming a OctaKing artist? Contact us "This page is a draft example shown for illustrative purposes only. Content is subject to change"

Well hold on just a minute now, they never actually said any of those artists have ever used (or even seen) the pedal.... there is probably a perfectly good explanation for all of this.

If my name was Aryan King I'd change that in a second

Also.. it says it's sold by "Aryan King's Private Collection" located in Spain

which is where the Octa King company is located, based on their +34 country code phone number on their website

Aryan King is listed as an artist who uses this pedal right next to Joe Bonomassa

... this guy is so superficial that he uses himself to promote his fake ass pedal
