Yeah, but........look at PastFX and anyone else who makes a CE-1/'Chorus Ensemble'-inspired pedal. Might as well complain about Ceriatone (or Germino) amps looking like Marshalls, or a half a milllion Tweed clones out there, while we'lre at it.
The look is part of the package, and folks want the look.
I'm not complaining - these are starter kits, AFAIC. Mojotone also has kits of a lot of amps that look a lot like the originals.

The PCB is already loaded with all the electronic components, maybe Robert should start doing that!
Would save a lot of time looking for parts!!!
PCB Guitar Mania has been doing this for the past few years albeit not in a kit.
