Just rabidly ordered the pastel preamp pcb. But now I'm looking around and don't see where to buy the 2N6429's. Is there an equivalent transistor?

SMD Version is MMBT6429.
Looks like the 2N6428 that PedalPCB sells is lower gain in the datasheet vs the 2N6429. No idea if that matters in this circuit however.

Those are for the Trademark Fuzz.

Hey folks. On GroupDIY it's mentioned the BC549C (which I already have a bunch of) works in Neve preamps. Would it work in the Pastel too?

I read in another thread here that the MPSA18 (rotated 180 degrees).... what he said mpsa18 him too. I'll add that this was recommended by Dan Kennedy years ago, I think it was confirmed that he uses this in the great river pre. To use it in the EZ1290 boards you just flip it around.

Doublecheck the pinout as I think they're mirrored (mpsa18/549)

Follow up questions. Are the values in the circuit tuned to the 2n6429 specifically? I see a lot of the values match the original Neve circuit but not all of them.
