might be because he also wrote a thesis on restraining maternal figures, ejection of paternals and such improved relations with intimates....

Think he IS in the running for his works on astrochemistry though...

I can't be the only one here who has suffered for years through inescapable, horrendous pop music channels at work. My wage isn't terrific, but having the the power to turn of shitty music off for the entire pass-through area I am in charge of, is excellent for my sanity. Also, concidering all the bandshirts I am seeing on all these nerds here, I am not making enemies by doing so. 😇

Finally an almost cloudless night for us, but the aurora-borealis pics from last night here weren't as good as the ones I've posted previously, though it was still a good show the mostly green colours just weren't popping;
my brother lives about a 15-min drive away, and he was raving about all the colours he was seeing. 🤷‍♂️

Took my daughter to her first metal concert. She wanted Korn tickets for her birthday. Wish granted. It was a real trip, watching a band that I liked as an angsty adolescent with my own angsty adolescent spawn. Here’s a picture from the Gojira performance:

Took my son to the park today. Finally looks like fall:

Wow. They’re into 2 totally different things, aren’t they? 😁

LoL! More seriously, though, Brian May was already an Astrophysics graduate student at ICL when Queen broke through, so he stopped out and later returned after Freddie's death. Since finishing his PhD, he also has served as the Chancellor at Liverpool's John Moores University. An impressive guy all around!
He also proved the theory that Fat Bottom Girls Make the World Go 'Round.

I recently got back from a trip around Poland, Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. In Slovenia we went to Lake Bled where we had visited about 30 years ago. The landscape hasn't changed - it's still ridiculously beautiful - but it is so much more built up now. While we were there we visited a gorge called Vintgar Gorge. Sounds more Viking than Slav to me.
