Special K 100uf pcb says 16v?

Anyone know why 16v is specified on the 2 100uf caps? Not sure I’ve seen that before. I typically use 35v caps -is there a particular reason it needs to be 16v? Many thanks!

Probably a minimum

Any voltage rating should be interpreted as a minimum. No harm going over as long as size permits.

Didn’t look at the schematic, but the only reason may be space constraints. If a larger rating will fit, it’s fine though. I frequently use 16v (or even lower rating) caps for anything connected to the output of like a 5v or 3.3v regulator, just to save more space on the layout.
