No mods to this one, as I bought it as a kit. I did replace all the box film caps for MLCCs, and all the electrolytics with Tantalum because I like looking at yellow balloons when I'm peering into the abyss.
This one is AWESOME. Compared to the EPK version, this gets much closer to the sound clips I've heard online. Cleaner than that version, but not quite as clean as the OC-2 and it's derivatives, but it does offer a bit more polyphony, and doesn't seem to dampen the initial pick attack the way the OC-2-types do
Huge, fat, clear, dynamic, and immediate tracking- I'm quite fond of this one. This one's definitely making it to my board. I especially like that you can really tell when you switch pickup or picking positions, giving it a lot more depth than what the other Suboctave circuits can do
This first vid is just a run through of this circuit, I switch to the bridge pickup toward the end
This one's comparing it to the EPK version
