The Fart Pedal

Exactly. And even though I have a function generator sometimes it's easier to just plug in a 1/4" cable and twist some knobs.
I keep a patch cable plugged in so it's always right there ready to go.

The big one has to boot up, then I have to find cables, adapt them, punch in all the parameters, cuss, punch in the correct parameters, etc....

Why don't I have any F*$%(#G signal here?! Oh wait, I forgot to hit the OUTPUT button. :ROFLMAO:

There's some real irony in the fact that almost every serious thread here gets derailed into pure foolishness, yet somehow the "Fart Pedal" thread has turned into an actual technical troubleshooting thread. :ROFLMAO:
I point you to the OP 👆 That should explain it.

exactamundo! But the idea of a gradually added on/modular testing outfit would be nice. I've seen partial works at jmk and mbp but both still need the separate DMM which isn't a bad thing when all you need to do is sort resistors with questionable color codes or look for bad diode(s).

Real project with the afruit modules might be a mini keypad and rough frequency ranges of sine triangle and square waves.

I'm all for integrating current and voltage measurements into a test fixture, but continuity and component testing would be best left to a separate DMM.

Does that mean the fine Corinthian leather seats are out as well then?

I feel a Duane song coming on…

I want a single, dual, and quad op amp tester with bells but no whistles,
I want an LCR meter that can measure the reactance of air,
I want a lifetime Apple Music subscription with built-in Siri so I can play my test loops like a boss,
..…
Aww heck..
