What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

I just spent the last half hour troubleshooting this Kliche build only to realize that I was adjusting the gain knob instead of the volume. SMH 🤦🏼‍♂

My doctor changed up one of my meds, and it’s affecting my fine motor skills it seems.
I did the same with a knob showing 0 volume staring at me. Also tried to turn on a pedal with a battery without a battery haha

I'll look into it cheers
I’ve done it a few times.
Anyone care to guess what this deep fried image is of?
Hoping to build it tomorrow if I find the time

waited until an hour and a half ago to build it. Got all the flux off the board and was just ready to solder the pots in when I noticed… my caps are too tall. Should’ve used low-profile (if I had any). Damn you, 1590B, and your reduced depth.

Also major props for using the Wattstax font!
I’ll have to check out that documentary- looks awesome!

I originally had it say Big Muff Pi and Electro Harmonix, but the printer didn’t feel comfortable reproducing it due to copyrights. Which I totally understand. I told the client this, and he came back with Commie Fuzz. Not my personal favorite, but he wanted it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gnat (Buzzaround) in progress. Thought I'd post a shot here because it shows a few things I've posted about before, such as my blue tantalum caps, converted SMD e-caps, and ghetto transistor sockets.

I used a couple of socket pins that broke free for the magic diode area, but they're hard to see from directly above.

Look out for a build report in the near future.

Good looking build there! However, there is no "magic" or "mojo" involved with the diode used in this circuit. The important aspect of the diode used there is its Fvd (Forward Voltage Drop). "Socketing to see" is always a DIYer's friend and helpmate. But to be sure, try out different diodes there and let us know what you think.

Boxed up the Scenario Preamp and man, I know the first time you play it it's honeymoon time, but this thing just sounds pretty great. At first I thought the comp switch didn't do anything, but thankfully I read it adds some diodes so I just needed to turn up the gain to hear the difference. Not a huge fan of the extra clipping, but maybe it has it's uses. I usually hate anything compression related or compressors with guitar - I don't know, maybe I need to try some nice compressor at some point.

Don't know what the magic is but every time I've just flat out boxed the whole thing and soldered the footswitch and jacks and all, every pedal has worked perfectly out of the box. I sometimes have issues with the ones that I test first. It's weird.

This one might be popping a little bit, it sometimes does, sometimes doesn't, maybe I'll need to look at some solder joints with a magnifying glass or something.
