CONTEST Ten Pedals or Less

CONTEST
I'm with the 2 club, protection and LED, but I think I've made more than 10 pedals... would have to count... I'm close tho !

Edit: Let's count...
Parasite wha
Delegate Compressor - Boneyard edition
Danube Fuzz
Seabed Delay
Muffin Fuzz
Super Stevie OD
Little Green Screaming Machine (2X)
Spirit Box
Dirty Sanchez - Episode Boost COMBO (Does that count for 2 or 1 ?)
Rain Coat - Frost Drive COMBO (Again, is this 2 or 1?)

That's it... total 10 flat if you consider the compo as one pedal, if you count boards than I'm at 12 :(

Also in the 2 camp over here. However if you count the base junction in BJTs the count goes up to at least 4 for BJT discrete drives/fuzzes and up to many many many more inside ICs, which also include actual diodes. The TL072 probably has over a dozen transistors and maybe half a dozen diodes per side, for a total of 36 plus the two above we get to 38…

Transistors have diode junctions. Op-amps have lots of transistors. Pedals have transistors and op-amps and diodes and LEDs. The number for a "useful" pedal is certainly more than 2.

In theory you could build a pedal with no diodes. Who needs protection or LED? And who needs transistors and op-amps? The pedal could just be an AB switch box.

I'm going with 0.

I don't know what 10 or less riddle means?

EDIT: I just re-read the question and it says "most" pedals, which negates my answer of 0, and I assume most pedals are not AB switch boxes

EDIT #2: Does 10 or less mean eligibility for the contest? If so my answer is double negated.:eek:

66, define pedal circuit please, are we talking on the circuit board of most pedals, or just the pedal audio path?
