I have one of those myself, along with about 1000 other picks.I have a punch that makes guitar picks out of hotel cards. I am usually happy with those after they get played a bit.
Iād suggest calling thin picks as flaps and playing style with them as flapping.I honestly don't know how people play with thin picks
For me, after playing acoustic guitar for decades, I can tell you with certainty: badly.I honestly don't know how people play with thin picks
17 enclosures from Tayda arrived today. Going to be a long weekend of drilling them all!
My order last month with some enclosures took 17 days to get to the east coast. Never got a shipping notification, just showed up. I think there was a banner message on the enclosures page about extended lead times so I was expecting it to take a while. If you donāt mind me asking, how long ago did you order them? I placed an order with Tayda over a week ago - almost all just components that would normally ship immediately ā but with a couple of white enclosures (no drill work, no UV printing). Because they seem to run the powder coating in batches on an āas neededā basis rather than keeping them in inventory, I knew from past experience that this would delay my shipment for two or three days ā but, like I said, my order has just been sitting there in āpackingā status for over a week now.
Wow, thanks. I guess Iāll just keep waiting. I will admit that I didnāt put much credence in that āextended lead timesā notice since itās been up on their website since I first started buying parts from them in 2022 (I figured they either just forgot to take it down or left it up to give themselves some cushion). FWIW, I put in an order on the 26th (full shebang), Metallic Candy Purple is already fully UV printed and the Metallic Candy Red and Cream just started the painting phase, Metallic Candy Green and Matte Black still pending. No white ones so not directly helpful to you I'm afraid. If you donāt mind me asking, how long ago did you order them? I think the notice is always there, but the length does vary. Basically it's a popular service and it will take time to get your enclosures no matter what, the drilling doesn't take too long IME, I think the painting is the biggest hold, and the UV printing too, I guess, especially if they have to re-do them (I put in mine with mostly full face gloss varnish layers before I read they're going to disallow that in the future because it's so tricky).Wow, thanks.
