It only makes sense if you take the purpose of the tariffs at their word. The actual purpose is to provide an excuse to penalize any industry, company, or CEO that doesn't bend the knee. And if some smaller players go out of business in the process, who cares? They'll get acquired by larger companies and cronies.

Barring explicit guidelines for processing and collection—as well as a determination that those new systems will still be cost effective for the courrier—I imagine those will pop up across the board for pretty much everything but B2B overseas shipments.
Will likely become more common for German online stores at least. DHL Germany suspended shipping to the US for all commercial shipments as well as private gift shipments if they're worth over 100 USD.

More people than usual will have to file 1099-K forms this year. Hobbyist builders that sell on the side but have not incorporated or otherwise set up a commercial structure will more easily meet the lowered reporting threshold ($2.5k)—especially because those will be generated automatically by payment processors and they won’t be very discerning about it.
Yup, exactly this. Every year my accountant says to write off everything I can to make the business look less profitable. That will be less difficult in 2025.
