Dual Kliche - like Paragon Mini

I gotta say the Klon circuit is the best I've ever played, simply amazing. Love how the dual pot works. I recently built it, and also a Paragon Mini (KoT). Similar circuits. How about doing the same for the Klon circuit? Put 2 in a 125B. Would be doubly amazing.

The Klon circuit is a bit larger than the Blues Breaker. I've built a dual Klon in a 1590XX, but you could probably design one to fit in a 1590BB I bet.

I don't think it would be worth the effort in a 1590BB... otherwise just build 2 singles. The two circuits could share the PS section. I've always thought there was more room at the top to be taken advantage of if low profile jacks are used (link below). But you may be right. 1/8W resistors would be easy. SMD or stacked PCB's would be harder.

Low Profile Jack link.

Although, now that I think about it, Aion has a 2nd PCB he uses for his newer stuff that has the 3PDT, LED, power supply, etc... and it's on another level of the main PCB due to the heigh difference in the switch and pots. That switch pcb could overhand the main pcb... just thinking outloud.

Too bad @bean discontinued the 1590A Imp V2. 😿

Here's a gutshot from the interwebs, ie not mine:

With my Imp PCB and a Runtime Error PCB (both MBP 1590A boards of identical width) they will not fit side by side in a 1590N1, however...

I could fit the aforementioned boards in a 1590N1 if I put the circuit boards on edge. With 2mm thick double-sided foam sticky tape, I could mount them to the sides and the foam tape would push the PCBs far enough away from the walls for the lid to fit on (regular double-sided sticky tape would NOT work because the PCBs would interfere with the lid's lip).

Oriented normally, the Imp and Runtime Error fit together in a 1590B3 perfectly — with enough space that the control's of the PCBs won't be too close or interfere with each other.

So, I'd prefer a single PCB designed with two Klones on it to fit either a B3 or a BB in portrait mode (though landscape mode would offer better stomper separation).

While a two Klones-PCB in a single N1 might fit, as mentioned by Robert already it'd be a tight fit, but do you really want two footswitches on an N1? Personally, I'm moving away from such cramped stompage.

The paragon mini used 16mm pots. But you could maybe gain some space with 9mm. Maybe it’s not as much as I think it is.

I like to employ 9mm pots to squeeze in more than I should.

However, doing so necessitates skinny knobs such as the Davies 1900 (clones thereof) or similar.

For instance, sometimes I want to add a mod to an existing build/commercial pedal — I can squeeze a 9mm in between two 16mm pots where a third 16mm pot just wouldn't fit no way no how.

Just think, there's enough room in the Fredric not of Hollywood chassis for an expression-pedal jack, right between the stompers and out.

GOBS OF ROOM! I mean why occupy 3 sides of a pedal when you can lay waste to all four?

Missed opportunity there.
