I don’t throw them away, they’re ideal for when you drill a hole too big here or there, but never on a stomp.I put the lock washer on the inside, white washer in the garbage, metal washer on the outside, and then tighten the nut
In reality everyone needs to use custom, hand-made, brass, knurled washers or else their footswitch will explode.
I happen to have some available for $75 a piece. A small price to pay to keep your house safe from an untimely explosion.

I found a purpose, they're great for spacers on the DC jack when using the outey onesYou mean in or out ?
Logically, it must have some purpose, even if it's hard to guess, right ? The 3PDT factory don't waste some good plastic just for the pleasure... We pay good money for this plastic ring !
Isn't it a bit like tearing out the bumper of your car, and use it as headrest for the passengers seats ?I found a purpose, they're great for spacers on the DC jack when using the outey ones
I actually have one or two of these, or what seem to be these, around but have no idea where they came from. Assuming you where joking, where did you get these? In reality everyone needs to use custom, hand-made, brass, knurled washers or else their footswitch will explode.

You have better toys than me… I’d have to hand file the knurling…I made these at home on my lathe. I had a few little stubby bits of brass leftover from making knobs and decided to bore them out and cut them off to match the dimensions of the fabled white plastic washer. I was just thinking of ways to reuse some of the scrap I was making.
So it was a joke, but they are *technically* "custom hand-made"
