How do you install your footswitches ? What to do with the various rings ?

I did the best I could do
Understandable, doing justice to plastic washer is far from easy. But if we are going to have a debate on white washers, people on the pro-white washer side can't afford to produce mitigated exemples to convince the other side. Only the best exemples can be introduced at this level. A true plastic washer supporter would understand that, right ?

Unfortunately my Low Tide build was merely a poor exemple to show the various possibilities. In no circonstances it could convince the other side.

I will find some really overwhelming exemples of amazing builds with plastic washers on the outside.

Moreover, i think your picture was posted in order to make a point about metal led bezels, not specifically about white washers.

I wonder what was written there ? Are we sure that a plastic led mounting clip wouldn't fit better here ?

I can easily admit that my Low Tide build was merely a poor exemple to show the various possibilities. In no circonstances it could convince the other side.

I'm just saying that i showed your mine (embarrassing as it is). Now you need to show me yours. And of course the chrome bezels were on full display for all to see - I'm not shy that those are my thing - even if I lied to you about it. Let's just all agree that chrome is a good thing.

I see... Now you've done it, everyone can see that you are going too far.

And what about the good old standard red led ? Aren't they "ugly" ? Don't they give a "cheap look" to your stompboxes ? Aren't orange, yellow, blue, pink, lila, or even green leds much better than the standard red led ?

I mean, what is it going to be next ? First the white washer, then the black plastic led mounting clip, now the red led... Where is it going to end ?

Can't we make the world and the diy community a little bit simpler, and just put the plastic ring around the 3PDT, inside the enclosure ? Like reasonable human beings ?

What's wrong with dampening vibrations and absorbing shocks on the footswich, thanks to this clever little tool ?

White LED for drive, pink for mod, blue for reverb and delay <3

You do have a point here... In my defense, I created this graphic for an identical build (which was absconded by a guitarist in my band), this was basically the same circuit with a slightly different enclosure. The original one was better (except that I misspelled treble and didn't realize it until I had 15 coats of lacquer on the pedal -- as my guitarist said, "good spelling isn't a requirement for rock 'n roll")

I don't make a ton of dirt pedals these days, but I might have to borrow "terble"
