Yeah, that one won't be abused.
(If anything, I want a regular smiling face, to let a poster know his post made me glad, or amused me. Something in between the thumbs up and the laugh/love ones. My laugh was stolen from me way back in high school, so I can't use that one.)
Had hoped to see a bit more of Aryan King, as Robert asked some good questions. On the other hand, I cannot think a human being can defend the overt lies linked to this product. Maybe we get an AI response, as generative arguments don't mind using faltering reason. Curious what the pedal designer himself thinks of how his partner sells his design.
Anyway, in the end, with all the nonsense surrounding this pedal, all I see is a pedal that's makes about €300,- profit per item sold, times 500... €150.000 split between two. A wishful scam, which I hope we nipped in the bud here. Maybe @hamerfan can put the pedal's name in the thread's title for more SEO traction?

And that brings up another "peculiarity" .... I believe this is the first time I've ever seen such an intentionally limited release that had no form of serialization whatsoever... No serial number, no marking to indicate which # of 500 this unit is...
The website doesn't tell me how many of the 500 are remaining:
And while it doesn't necessarily scream "foul", I can add 600 to my cart on the website, so the inventory is not tracked nor limited.

@giovanni It's just the way self-awareness works during adolescence. Had a lot of fun with the kid sitting next to me in class, and then this girl in front butted in and said something to the extent of that I was laughing too excessively. As with many things at that age, it makes a lasting impression. So I started holding myself back, and eventually evolved into someone whose face shines when something is funny, but with hardly any sound. ->Someone stole Tegendemuur's Laugh? Yoiks! I do wonder if that is what is the point of the whole scam. Write up all kinds of lies about the product, make a small note saying "might not be accurate" and then sell a YATS for $500? Is that legal in the US? Or are they betting nobody will bother suing them for false advertising?

The boxes and aluminum enclosures are already being hand-painted. They will be ready by February 10th. If we have enough time and capacity, we’ll also complete the PCB printing by then. Unfortunately, PCB manufacturing is the one part of the process that isn’t fully in our hands, and that’s the second reason I’m traveling to Asia—to speed everything up as much as possible."
