JFC 45%?! That's brutal. The "liberation day" branding is the weirdest shit ever. This sucks for everyone.Tariffs are back.
My shipment passed through customs at 12:02am, so de minimis did not apply.
45% duties.

- All relevant postal items containing goods that are sent through the international postal network that are valued at or under $800 and that would otherwise qualify for the de minimis exemption are subject to a duty rate of either 30% of their value or $25 per item (increasing to $50 per item after June 1, 2025). This is in lieu of any other duties, including those imposed by prior Orders.
I have no idea that was taken from the official white house post. Are we saying 30% on top of the 45% I'm already paying?

Well, shit. When I saw the initial 60 country list and Thailand wasn’t on it, I got my hopes up.
Fairly certain even after the tariffs jlcpcb is significantly cheaper still.I'm from Argentina and I'm used to this crap already. I ordered some PCBA last week. Payed 85 US dollars in product and 40 dollars in shipping on the JLCPCB site (used DHL express. Mail shipping was 30dollars and takes 2 to 3 months to arrive).
To get it into the country I also had to pay 30 dollars on import tax, 25 dollars on custom duties, and about 30 more dollars on local taxes (21% to the product + shipping).
These made productive processes very slow, and no local company PCB provides good PCBA services.
I'd assume there would be some US company that gives great PCB services at a competitive price, isn't there?
I think that’s right - 34 on top of an existing 20, but if Robert is saying the effective rate with fees is already 45… He might also be right.I think the final maths is 54% total but I might be wrong.
