Alas i got distracted between catch with the kiddos, beer and ribs. By the end of it drawing some traces seemed like the last thing i wanted to do. Hopefully tomorrow

I've found that the slow boat option still shows up within 2 weeks anyway (I'm west coast of Canada though), I never use other services

Yea oregon. Pretty much always 2 weeks, ive gotten it in a week before (green boards) and i think just dumb luck.

Big legal development on this front—the U.S. Court of International Trade has blocked the tariffs. The opinion is here for interested folks. The upshot of all this is, per the court's order:

"In accordance with the court’s opinion of this date, it is hereby ORDERED that Executive Order 14193, Imposing Duties To Address the Flow of Illicit Drugs Across Our Northern Border, 90 Fed. Reg. 9113 (Feb. 1, 2025); Executive Order 14194, Imposing Duties To Address the Situation at Our Southern Border, 90 Fed. Reg. 9117 (Feb. 1, 2025); Executive Order 14195, Imposing Duties To Address the Synthetic Opioid Supply Chain in the People’s Republic of China, 90 Fed. Reg. 9121 (Feb. 1, 2025); Executive Order 14257, Regulating Imports with a Reciprocal Tariff to Rectify Trade Practices that Contribute to Large and Persistent Annual United States Goods Trade Deficits, 90 Fed. Reg. 15041 (Apr. 2, 2025) (collectively, the “Challenged Tariff Orders”); and all modifications and amendments thereto; be, and hereby are, declared to be invalid as contrary to law; it is further ORDERED that the operation of the Challenged Tariff Orders and all modifications and amendments thereto be, and hereby is, permanently enjoined; it is further ORDERED that within 10 calendar days necessary administrative orders to effectuate the permanent injunction shall issue; and it is further ORDERED that each party shall bear its own costs.

It wouldn't have mattered. The initial ruling gave a ten-day window to cease collection. And it's applied when it hits the port of entry, right? Not the time of ordering.

Starting to feel like ordering PCBs is like a poker game where I'm facing off against a giant, petulant, orange toddler and a weirdo in robes that seems very interested in listening to novel arguments over why black is actually white.

All I know is I'm gonna lose money.

Yes theres no tariffs or duties listed but shipping is up 6x as much at least for 1 batch of 5. Last night i just hit a reorder button from an order in march. Went from 2.00$ shipping to 12$ shipping. No mention of duties or tariffs though.

Boy did I pick a great time to finally have a PCB design to print.

I'm looking at 50 to 100 main boards and just as many 3PDT breakout boards. All through-hole, unpopulated and I'm wondering what the best option will be. There's actually a fabricator an hour from where I live so I'm going to try them and Ninja Circuits and see if keeping things domestic is a better deal than the alternative.
