Solid state or tube for testing?

Tube mostly

Mainly a little 1W Blackstar HT1R which AFAIK isn't all tube

A Fender Champ 12

and a 100W Fender Twin amp not reverb the pro tube series

I was thinking of getting a solid state for testing........

Tube pedals funnily enough!

I used to have an old Fender Deluxe 90 ss wish I'd kept that cleans were immense

I try a bit of everything. Tube/cab sim with a Revv head, SS with an Ampeg SS150, a tiny Marshall MS-2 and proper head/cab with a Laney vh100r.

I’ve only been doing bass pedals and currently don’t even have a tube amp that isn’t in pieces and waiting on final assembly.

I use Tube amps, usually my Twin Reverb!
Is that a reissue or ???

I have an original 1968 Fender Silverface Deluxe Reverb (SFDR) that I bought for $300 in 1991.... The old speaker was tired and smelled of smokey bar rooms, so I replaced it with a Jensen P12N. Chime city!!!! The circuit was before CBS had a chance to muck around with it, so it's a blackface circuit. I have a lot of amps I built too.....

My bench amp is a Blackstar Fly. It used to be an old Teal-stripe Peavey Rage, but now I'm babying that in case anyone famous plays one and its value shoots up to 10x its original purchase price.

(That's for "does this work?" testing. I use a bunch of other things for "does this sound good?" testing.)

80’s Pignose first for proof of life and make sure the pedal isn’t going into possible tube/eardrum destroying oscillations then on to the ‘65 Epiphone pathfinder

Yes Reissue

both a solid state and a hybrid tube. i don’t go out of my way but I should be better about testing into both, its kind of nice getting an idea of how a pedal plays with tubes
