It's the wackness. Pop isn't for everybody and the material he's most known for is pretty cheesy to my ear. I've never understood the draw myself. I have trouble not hearing it as just "pop Mayer" when he's doing other stuff.

He’s had some spectacularly douchey songs and a couple of cringey ones. My main problem with him is he’s tall, talented, rich and handsome. Like pick 2, bro.

He is really good. Girls love him. Guys wanna play like him. Music he got really famous for was really pop-py for that time. Pegged him as sappy song writer guy. He made some mistakes when he was younger but has grown up a lot since then.

If you listen to his music it has a lot of blues licks inside of his pop stuff.
