New JHS Pedals DIY Kit – Monday May 5th

I’m expecting mine tomorrow. The package had to actually travel farther to get to the USPS distribution center than it would have if it was delivered straight to my house.

Is this a limted release?
somewhat. They're releasing 15k total, but they're doing it in waves. 6k this first day and another release next Monday. and repeat until they hit 15k is what I understand they're doing. I'm gonna use the money selling it for Roberts version because he'll do it correctly...AKA top jacks and a footswitch for the channel.

Yeah, there's a few dumbulls out there.

This one was smart and just quit the insanity:

I guess he realised he was losing the race and never place, so he gave up and went back home.

Came a day early. Time to list on the verb.
Mine also came a day early! I thought about listing it but decided I was curious enough to just throw it together quick.

I wanted to hate it but I don't. It's not the most exciting pedal ever but I really like the clean circuit as a boost/subtle thickener, and the overdrive circuit is actually pretty good as well. I think it's a pretty decent pedal if that's the sound you're going for.

I do think I might drill out a hole for a second footswitch and mod the channels to be footswitchable. I might also put the overdrive presence trimpot as an external pot in the place where the switch was.

If there is ever a board here for it, I'll definitely still build it, if for nothing else than to get rid of those awful side jacks on a 1590BB.

I was planning on modding the switch and throwing it up for sale.... Mine came in yesterday and apparently that switch between the clean and dirty has a lot more going on with it... Its not just a simple mod... joker has a lot of pins and most of them are connected...

It's the same switch as the NOTAKLON. I want to say it's a DPDT with unused pins but it could be 3PDT or 4PDT.

Regardless, replacing it with a footswitch should be easy enough.

I'll ohm it out as soon as mine gets here. ETA is today but I'm not confident. :ROFLMAO:
