Not exactly pedal related. I planned to take this weekend to finish up a stack of PCB's sitting on my bench, but my release bearing gave up the ghost. Taking a long break before I drop the transmission.

Doesn’t look too crusty from that angle! I’m guessing you’re not in the road-salt belt. I hope it comes out and goes back in for you without too much drama. Did you have to pull the subframe?

How does it sound?

I like it. Somewhere between a D+ and a Muff. With a modification on the output the sound becomes more harsh in some ways, but gets you a cleaner sound/opens up the tone control.

I was able to move it to the side far enough that I didn't have to drop the subframe. New clutch and pressure plate are bolted up, and I'm calling it for the night. I'll tackle reassembly tomorrow after the ibuprofen kicks in.

I live on the gulf coast, our roads basically never ice over. Rust isn't much of a problem for us. Drivers from Louisiana usually ruin our frames first.

This is by far the least intuitive feedback looper I've used... It is pretty fun once it's dialed in for whatever's in the loop though

Preparing to use a ring LED lens with an intelligent bypass board (instead of the latching 3pdt included with the ring.) Chopping away the blue housing to make room for a SPST momentary footswitch.




This is my 4th such build. It's becoming my ™ move.

The next build I did after this I soldered a tl072 backwards lmao, so you win some you lose some back to sockets for everything until my confidence is back up

edit: stole this from the pedalpcb wishlist but some smd piggyback transistor modules. with mmbf3904s and a 10k trim the Hfe can go from 200 to 10 and anywhere in between

Nah, I chose to go with an external pot, as it's got some cool variation along its sweep
