I did the Global Direct Saver on a smaller order a few weeks ago, expecting to get hit with duty fees when it landed. It came in the 2 weeks or so it always has and I haven't gotten a bill for anything yet!

It’s definitely air mail though lol
2 weeks is pretty fast to me, but I never ever use FedEx or third parties because then I am guaranteed to get hit with brokerage, customs and all that garbage.![]()
Yes, I pay the upfront now, fed ex, gets to my door in 5 daysI noticed that option was duty free and wondered what would happen. Figured, worst case would be having to pay duties to get it off the boat. Sound like it's worth it to pay them up front with DHL or UPS.
I looked on the checkout options. Tariffs appear on other shipping options but not on the slow boat option.I ordered some JLC boards via slow shipping and they arrived a few days back without any kind of tariff payment request.
So the order I was talking about here is out for delivery via a last mile courier called GOFO Express. Haven't heard hear anything about tariffs yet and will update when/if I do. Cursory glance seems like it's a typically reviewed last mile courier and is getting use recently for Temu and Shein orders to the USA. Haven't seen any mention of tariffs due on delivery in reddit posts about them so fingers crossed.Has anyone received a shipment to the US via the Global Direct Saver line shipping option yet? I placed one order DDP via DHL and then placed a one board order that I won't be too upset about not getting via the Global Direct Saver if customs via USPS are a shit show.
Just got home where it was waiting. No duties due, delivered without issue just like it was from any other last mile carrier shipped from anywhere else.So the order I was talking about here is out for delivery via a last mile courier called GOFO Express. This was my experience and it was the same carrier.Just got home where it was waiting. No duties due, delivered without issue just like it was from any other last mile carrier shipped from anywhere else.
Weird, I haven’t had any issues with it. I sure don’t order more than $30 at a time. What i noticed with Global Direct shipping on my last order is that it was only if the order total is under $60. Anything over, and I wasn't able to use that and had to go DHL or Fedex (lot more to ship + tarriff). So if there are only a few boards or projects on there, I think we should be good (for now)
